THE baby cots or anyway i children's beds they are the place where they spend the most hours of time; precisely for this reason, they must be designed and built keeping in mind the characteristics and needs of the child himself, but not only that, they must also be able to satisfy the needs of all mothers.

How long can we use the baby beds?

THE   cots for children   you can start using them from birth, adding textile reducers inside. The reducers can be in the shape of a mini-cradle or the so-called candy reducers which are able to wrap the baby better, so as not to leave the newborn too free for the first few months.

Having an internal dimension of at least 60×120 cm, these cots can be used up to about 3 years. After a certain age, children get too big and manage to get up trying to climb dangerously over the sides of the cot.

How are baby cots made up?

The   baby bed   may have several important technical characteristics:

  • Mobile sides, which we can lower and raise according to the age of the child, to facilitate contact with the mother. For better stability, it is advisable to secure one of the two sides;
  • Wooden slatted base;
  • First sleep kit, i.e. adjustable two-position bed base. The upper position allows easier access to the mother in the first months of the baby's life, while the lower one is ideal for the older child;
  • Rounded edges and non-toxic paints;
  • Protective anti-bite sheath in transparent and non-toxic material;
  • Four swivel wheels, equipped with brakes, covered with non-marking soft rubber. It is advisable to position the wheels with brakes on the opening side of any drawer, or both on the headboard;
  • Convenient drawer, usable from both sides.

Finally, to decorate the cot, we must certainly add a mattress of the right size, a removable set consisting of bumpers, pillowcase and duvet with duvet cover, and lastly the sheets with and without corners.
